One of my earliest memories as a young child was my brothers and me barefoot in our pajamas in the backseat of an old brown Buick Riviera with a speaker attached to the window. It was dark outside. Now this was in Kentucky, so it was probably a couple of years after the movie was actually released, maybe in 1970 or 1971. Loved the eyes, loved the movie, loved the evening!!
Paul was amazing. I especially enjoyed "The Verdict", "Nobody's Fool", "Absence of Malice", "Slap Shot" and "Cool Hand Like". But whatever he did, let's face it--Paul made the role his own. He will be missed badly!
Anon: Me, too!
Michael: He was an awesome role model. His legacy will live through cinema and philathropy.
I was really looking forward to his latest project...Steinbeck's Mice and Men and I thought he was just adorable in Message in a Bottle.
But more than the talent we saw on the screen, what a great humanitarian he was. Organizing tirelessly, and donating mega amounts of cash for children's causes. That's what I find most endearing.
He has a great acting legacy, but it is charitable heart that I think will define him for many years to come.
Those blue eyes were dreamy!!
A great actor i will miss in the years to come.
Its hard watchig all the greats slowly passing on
Muse: He is a great example for Hollywood and the world. Thanks for stopping by!
Jamie: I agree about that big heart and those dreamy eyes. Thanks for the comment.
Walker: It is hard to see them go, isn't it? Who will take their place? Thanks for adding your thoughts. (:
