School books and supplies cover the kitchen counter and, well, you get the picture. I pick my battles but, one thing they aware of always doing properly is turning off the lights when leaving a room. We have become much more energy conscientious and I was becoming agitated each morning upon arising from bed only to discover the lights in the kitchen and laundry room illuminated. I fussed about it to each girl only to hear, "Mom, it wasn't me." They are good girls, but like any kid not wanting to be in trouble, they are not above telling a story. I immediately turned in the direction of the switch only to discover Neo proudly prancing toward me. My beloved kitty was the culprit. Apparently, he did not enjoy being in the near dark and lovingly did not want me to be in the dark either. Life is beautiful!
