I Have a Dream

"I Have a Dream"

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

My little one asked me yesterday where MLK is buried. We did the research and looked at his tomb. I am thankful her school and teacher found the way to her head on this topic. Bella has no concept of racism. Everyone is just like her to her. She later asked me if we can visit his grave. I told her certainly. She smiled and said, "He's my hero cuz he made my world a better place." And off she went.

My child is not being judged by the color of her skin, but by the content of her character. And she IS a character. We should all be so Bella-like!

Bella is beautiful and Life is Good!

How sweet! That made my day. Children are so innocent and so loving and pure. If only all adults could be like this. Wouldnt the world be awesome! I have learned so much from my kids about true pure love...its been beautiful, like your Bella. Give her a hug for me, she is a sweetie!

jtilii: I hope those were happy tears! Yes, children are amazing teachers!

Girl: 70 more sleeps and BOOM, it's done and we will never be the same. Clapton sang about "change" and we can, too. We can change the world.

Garden: Glad to see you here! Thanks for stopping by and showing my little one some love!

It's to bad we allow ourselves to be infuenced by what others say all the time when we should be forming our owe views.
I think his election will knock down many of the walls still remaining standing and in time maybe there will be none left due to prejudice.
Maybe presidents should be between the ages of 6-19 instead of over 40

Children are great because they are so honest and not yet affected by the real world misconceptions. Also, last year, I download the speech because it is so powerful! I honestly can't get through it without tearing up.
